Default How Can I get a group in GoM and Abbadons Gate?

As a dervish we all understand that we are underestimated as assassins often are

So the question stands how can i get a non-sucky group on Gate of Madness or Abbadons Gate which are both hard to hench/hero

I beat it on my Ranger after the 3rd group and on my dervish ive gone throught at least 7 and each of those took anywhere from 30 mins-1 hour to even get into/start the mission

Anyone have any ideas/builds that i can use to help get a group or hench this mission?

dude I feel your pain, it took my derv several tries to get through, but I was just persistent and advertised as a Mystic Tank instead of ZOMG @\/\/350/\/\3 DERVZ0R5 and I got into a group, plus I had a guildy tag around with me and that help wit getting a group.

There not hard to hench at all. For GoM, go D/W for Wild Blow and for AG bring heroes with martyr/csig.

from the looks of the intense builds I've seen that is needed to hench them, it's a bit harder than you say Ark, but hey if it's easy for you then go for it man.. we all have different skill levels.. I personally can't stand henchies... because I can't scream at them to fix their stupidity.. I can do that to real peeps tho.. MUAHAHAHA

Even after the paragon nerf, try this build: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10081126

Even still a really effective hero build. My health never even dropped below 1/4 health after Shiro brought out impossible odds (though that was before the nerf). I kept conviction and mystic regeneration up always and spammed scythe skills whenever I felt I had enough free energy. You can see my post in there about going through Gate of Madness, I beat Abbadon in around 10 minutes after the nerf with one death (me, I do not know what happened - there was no numbers floating above my head, no icon on the left what caused damage, and I eventually had to manually trigger a hero to use their rez sig to rez me - I've been having slight network problems and some rubber banding - I assume something to do with that).

I wouldn't call that an "intense" build, just taking advantage of being able to have three characters spam "Go for the eyes" and that you gain energy as the shouts come off you. The rest of the Paragon and build is pretty straightforward and normal and an RC prot monk is just a plain build.

It also worked really well in all the Ring of Fire missions on tyria - even after the nerf, Mursaat towers had issues draining my energy and they dropped quikly.
